Description
Philadelphia - DUFFIELD & EVANSHere is circa 1850-1855 soda or mineral water from Philly. This is a very uncommon name combo, rarely seen for sale. It has an applied tapered blob top and an iron pontil bottom, but no iron residue on the light pontil. Unfortunately, it has a star bruise near the base but displays great for an example.
Embossed:
DUFFIELD & EVANS / PHILADA //
SUPERIOR / MINERAL WATERS
Color:
deep teal green
Height:
7 5/8"
Condition:
a recently privy-dug bottle that has only been rinsed out and which retains patchy stain. There is an impact bruise at the heel with 3 radiating cracks, one of which goes across the bottom. It looks perfectly stable.
