    Here is circa 1865 squat type soda or porter from Philly. There are many variant Johnstons, and this is the small font variant with no "J" on the back
    . It has an applied double taper top and deep coloration.

    Condition:
    a recently privy-dug bottle that has only been rinsed out. Only issue is that the lip has a 1/4" wide but shallow bruise with just slight roughness to the feel. Otherwise, patchy stain and spotty light wear.
