Up for consideration is a rare, important Oaxacan carved Sculpture of a Grey Coyote
by the Father of Oaxacan woodcarving, Manuel Jimenez Ramirez (1919-2005).
He is known and collected in museums and private collections world-wide.
His style is recognized by its bold colors, intricate designs and imaginative depictions
of animals. Also, Manuel carved from cedar as a way to distinguish his carvings from
others as the craft became more popular. This piece is signed by both him and his sons
Angelico and Isaias Jimenez, his sons are still making wood carvings following their
fathers tradition and style. The piece is from the early 1990's.
The dimensions for this Coyote sculpture are about 14.5" long (sideview), 11" high and 6.5" wide.
This piece is in excellent condition - there are no scratches, bumps, or any damage,
    museum quality condition.
