    Description

    This is an old torpedo shaped glass bottle used for pressurized liquids (soda). The shape served two purposes, by laying on its side it kept the cork moist thereby preserving the pressure, also cheaper glass could be used because the shape made it able to withstand the pressure better. The bottle has a green color to it and is partially filled with a concreted deposit. The glass has several air bubbles in it and is also crazed with many small cracks. Made with two part mold with a seam running around the surface, the top blob was added during manufacturing process. The embossed wording on the outside says "WEBB'S DOUBLE SODA OTHER WATERS TO HER MAJESTY ISLINGTON LONDON". While not in the best condition it is still very interesting.
